US President Donald Trump attended the anniversary celebrations and made his way to the public with military equipment.
According to the AP, CNN, and other major foreign media, President Trump said on April 4 (local time) In front of the National Mall Lincoln Memorial, he held a Salute to America event celebrating the 243rd Independence Day in the United States.
When President Trump arrived at the podium, 20 fighters, including the Air Force One, the US military strategic bombers B-2 and F-22, celebrated flying. Also, in front of the podium, exhibited tanks and armored vehicles and showed military strength.
"The United States is the best ever," he said in a speech. "Today, in the joy of freedom, we all gather together and we must share and remember a truly unique legacy inherited from our founding father."
"The story of the United States was the greatest political journey in human history," recalling major events in American history, including founding, western pioneering, civil rights campaigns for the elimination of racial discrimination, women's suffrage, and moon landings.
The US media said it was the first time since President Harry Truman was inaugurated in 1951 during the Korean War and that military parades were held since 1991 when he celebrated the Gulf War.
President Trump traveled to Paris in July 2017 to attend a ceremony marking the anniversary of the French Revolution and gave a strong impression to the US Department of Defense for a massive parade.

"It is very unusual for the president or military parade to be held on the Independence Day, when fireworks were held," CNN said. "It seemed like we were seeing authoritarian parades like China and North Korea."
The opposition Democratic Party criticized President Trump that he is politically using Independence Day for re-election next year.
"It is regrettable that the Independence Day is a bipartisan, non-political day," and that "it is part of the national budget to drive partisan elections and promote conflicts," House Speaker Steny Hoyer said in a letter to former President Trump the previous day.
In a park near the White House, some civilians burned the flag, rallied against President Trump, and clashed with President Trump's supporters.
"The United States has a strong military presence, but it is not a military country," said a citizen who watched the event, pointing out that Trump's speech and military parade are nothing but presidential campaigns.
