스위스를 제치고 가장 넓은 산맥을 품고 있는 진짜 알프스의 나라, 오스트리아, 그리고 잘 알려지지 않았지만 알프스의 숨은 보석 같은 남부 독일, 시종일관 짜릿하고 가슴 뛰는 경험들로 가득한 그 산골 속으로 ‘알프스 한 달 살이’하러 떠나보자.

△제3부 마니아만 아는 숨은 명소 : 70여 개의 호수를 품은 오스트리아의 대표 휴양지인 잘츠카머구트. 그중에서도 ‘잘츠카머구트의 진주’로 꼽히는 곳이 바로 할슈타트(Hallstatt)다. 한국을 좋아하는 현지인, 시몬 씨의 안내로 할슈타트의 숨은 명소를 찾아가다 인생 샷 명소도 소개 받는다.

마을 중앙을 좌우로 가르며 폭포수가 흐르는 이상한 마을, 바트가스타인(Bad Gastein)! 높이 128m로 3단에 걸쳐 흐르는 바트가스타이너 폭포(Bad Gasteinerfall)는 마을 주민들에게 수력 전기를 제공하는 효자이자 숨은 명소다. 우연히 만난 마을 주민에게 진풍경을 소개받는다.

베르펜 언덕에 수장처럼 우뚝 서 있는 호엔베르펜 성(Hohenwerfen Castle). 알프스산맥으로 둘러싸인 이 성은 과거 1075년~1078년 사이에 건설된 요새로, 당시 문화를 느낄 수 있는 흔적이 담겨있다.
