배우 박환희에 대한 논란이 걷잡을 수 없이 퍼지고 있는 가운데, 만약 빌스택스의 발언이 사실이라면 받게 될 사이버 명예훼손에 대한 처벌 수위에 관심이 쏠리고 있다.

26일 최성진 사회문화평론가는 "박환희 전남편이 제기한 명예훼손 사건은 아직 정확한 진실 규명이 이뤄지지 않은 상황이다. 평소 박환희 품성과 이미지를 고려할 때 과장된 부분이 있을 수 있으니 신중한 접근이 필요하다"고 말했다.

이어 최 평론가는 "사이버 명예훼손은 게시글 내용이 사실이 아니더라도 3년 이하 징역 또는 3000만 원 이하의 벌금형에 처해진다. 확인되지 않은 내용에 대해 '아니면 말고' 식의 루머를 퍼트릴 경우 처벌받을 수 있다는 것을 각인해야 할 것"이라고 설명했다. 

최근 박환희 전 남편인 래퍼 빌스택스(바스코)는 박환희가 SNS를 통해 사실이 아닌 내용을 유포해 피해가 막심한 지경이라며 사이버 명예훼손 등 혐의로 수원지방 검찰청 성남지청에 고소장을 제출했다. 

박환희는 21살인 지난 2011년 빌스택스와 결혼했으나, 2012년 성격 차이를 이유로 이혼했다.
